Le Diamantaire / Street Art

Street artist and talented upcycler Le Diamantaire dares to decorate the street with diamonds! You probably came across one while passing through a Parisian street or somewhere else. He scatters them on walls in major cities around the world to spread a message of love, and surely peace but I haven’t asked him yet! The artist recovers mirrors and glasses from the street to remodel them by hand and turn them into numbered and signed diamonds… He’s definitely in tune with the upcycling trend, according to which nothing is lost, everything is transformed… mainly into art!

Le diamantaire makes us ponder on the value we place on things around us, our relationship to society, our place as human beings. The mirror reflects our image, that of the city and of others…

It is no coincidence that Le Diamantaire chose diamonds, a strong symbol of absolute and eternal love. He spreads a positive message of love. He created these artworks in such a way that we see a diamond when our image is reflected in the mirror… It is both a humanist and poetic message. That diamond in the middle of the city, that’s you! Dare to shine, dare to be yourself and pay tribute to the work! You too are valuable! You too can shine, even if life and the streets can sometimes be hostile, it doesn’t have to be that way.

For its second season, Le Diamantaire is exhibiting his work in galleries. From streets to galleries, creativity is more expressive and monumental, diamonds become murals. The artist plays with materials and their disposition, thus preserving the street art spirit in his work. The dynamism of the streets is brought into the walls on which the works are displayed. The diamond no longer lies flat on the wall, it is now three-dimensional… it gives the work depth and the appearance of a real diamond, in which the eye can get lost and the image can be reflected endlessly, which leaves room for imagination, and simply beauty.
