40 natural diamond engagement rings under 5000 euros

Engagement ring Wish List

Whenever Marilyn Monroe (Diamonds are a girl's best friend) or Audrey Hepburn (aka Holly Gollightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's) were talking "diamonds", they – naturally – had natural diamonds in mind. And at the time, synthetic diamonds did not exist since their origin dates back to the 1950s and their use in jewelry to the 1990s. And when it comes to THE engagement ring, the once-in-a lifetime ring (presumably), we don't skimp on anything.

There are many reasons to break the bank in favor of natural diamonds (read our article: 5 reasons to buy natural diamonds). Although more expensive, they are more valuable and represent a better investment. Natural diamonds are unique, durable, traceable and permanent, and thus can be passed on to future generations. As a symbol of eternal love, they are also fascinating to look at. Their shine is a true wonder of nature – a ring-sized one.

However, finding a natural diamond engagement ring under 5000 euros, whether among the collections of major brands or from jewelry designers, is a real feat.

Engagement rings are a tradition that can be traced all the way back to Ancient Rome. The iron ring was then worn on the left ring finger, on the heart's side. First a sleek ring without any stone in the early Middle Ages, it has evolved over the centuries and was constantly enriched with enamel, flowers, inscription or stones...

The most famous rings, the Pompadour, the solitaire or the "Toi et Moi" remain safe bets. But before committing and formulating the 2 long-awaited words ("I do!"), ask yourself this: will I still like my ring in 10 or 15 years?

By the way, how do you envision your own ring? Traditional or avant-garde? Sculptural or minimalist? Classical or modern? Yellow gold, rose gold, white gold or platinum? Thin or bold?

Whatever your style, the "rare gem" that will stay by your side "until death do you part" is out there.

To meet all expectations, Place Vendôme brands as well as creative young designers have imagined all sorts of models. An engagement ring can carry the DNA of a brand such as Van Cleef & Arpels, where the solitaire is enhanced with delicate gold pearls, emblematic of the Perlée collection, or Monsieur Paris who transforms their iconic "Petite Reine" (Little Queen) into a "Reine Solitaire" (Solitaire Queen).

It may also have contributed to the renown of the brand behind the Tiffany Setting, which is probably one of the most famous engagement rings in the world.

Want to stand out from the crowd? If there is one area where creativity is vivacious, it is indeed that of engagement rings. Young designers work twice as hard to renew the genre. For instance, Myrtille Beck, whose "d'Amour" rings have been seducing fashionistas since 2014. Among them, the "Amour Céleste" models, which revisit the strong symbolism of trilogy rings, have even become the brand's best-sellers.

For jewelers, engagement rings have become a stylistic exercise where all fantasies are let loose. And they can take on any style to satisfy all women and all personalities. In order to help you find the ring of your dreams, we have selected a few marvels which – believe me – you will never get tired of!
