The long-awaited moment has come! As the reopening of restaurants, shops and cultural venues brings us a little joy and vitality, we can finally enjoy the exhibitions and in-person classes organized by L’ECOLE, School of Jewelry Arts. After giving us free training during lockdown through its captivating online talks, L’ECOLE is ready to welcome everyone back on its premises on rue Danielle Casanova to keep sharing jewelry culture. Much to our delight, the establishment, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year, has just announced the reopening of the exhibition “Jean Vendome, Artist Jeweler”, extended until August 28, 2021, as well as a new program around Jewelry Design, an art form that remains largely unknown to the public and little studied, although essential to the creative...

A book for Christmas…

A book for Christmas…

Undoubtedly the highlight of the year 2014, the Maison Piaget finishes on a high note with the release of this beautiful book celebrating 140 years of creation and know-how. The author of the book, Florence Müller, a graduate of the Ecole du Louvre in Paris, carried out some thorough research, certainly more than I did for my previous article about Piaget. With the help of the historical heritage department of Maison Piaget directed by Alain Borgeaud and Béatrice Vuille-Willemetz, she retraced the history of the brand, specialist of the ultra-thin watch. Florence Müller – Photo ©BérengèreTreussard The book is richly illustrated with stunning photos by Steve Hiett, a reknown fashion photographer who became famous in the 1970s for his unique flash technique. Also remarkable, the pictures of...
